Moved to live at Hoggets Hill, Epworth
Worked at Scunthorpe steelworks
In old age became resident in a Gainsborough nursing home
Died 21st March 1973 aged 81
Buried alongside his wife in Morton Cemetery
Parents buried in Scotter churchyard
