Minutes of the Extraordinary meeting of Scotter Parish Council held on 05th January 2021, held virtually via Zoom.

Cllr Harper opened the meeting at 7.00pm and welcomed everyone.
2101/01 Acceptance of Apologise for Absence

2101/04 To Agree to relinquish responsibility of the children’s play park area at Scotter Playing Fields and it’s equipment to Scotter War Memorial and Playing Field Committee to allow the renovation of the area
Agreed as per agenda point

2101/05 To Agree a grant of £10,000 to Scotter War Memorial and Playing Fields Committee to be used for the renovation of the children’s play park area
Following in depth discussion it was agreed that a one off exceptional payment of £10,000 be granted to Scotter War Memorial Playing Fields Committee to be used only for the purchase of new play equipment in the renovations of the children’s play park area. Subject to i) a member of the parish council sitting on the committee and being able to oversee the project . ii) itemised costings, plans and quotations be sent to the parish council to review before payment is made.

2101/06 To Agree to annually contribute to the financial responsibility only of the children’s play park area once the renovations are complete.
Following discussion and concerns that the parish council would have no physical or legal ownership of the new play park area it was decided to refuse financial responsibility for the park. Any further requests should be applied for as a grant and adhere to the grants policy.
